On February 24, 2023, the first general meeting of the Dalian Smart Manufacturing Industry Association was successfully held. The meeting, themed “Broad Knowledge and Smart Innovation, Digital New Life”, was guided by the Dalian Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and the Dalian Civil Affairs Bureau. Its aim was to provide professional service support for smart manufacturing enterprises in Dalian, promote resource sharing and win-win cooperation within the industry, and accelerate the rapid development of Dalian's smart manufacturing sector.

Over 80 enterprises and nearly 100 corporate representatives witnessed the establishment of the first industry association named after "smart manufacturing" in Northeast China. Li Fusheng, the first Secretary-General of the association, together with representatives of member units, reviewed materials and voted on election methods. The meeting ultimately elected 22 member units for the first council of the Dalian Smart Manufacturing Industry Association, 3 member units for the supervisory board, 1 president, 6 vice presidents, and 1 supervisory board chairperson.

(abbreviated as "ALSI"), leveraging its over 30 years of practical experience in the smart manufacturing field and its industry-leading lean management philosophy, was elected as one of the council member units of the Dalian Smart Manufacturing Industry Association.

Dr. Zhang Xiaowei, director of ALSI, delivered a sharing session themed 《"Replacing Humans with Machines" ≠ "Cost Reduction and Efficiency Increase" - What Are the Key Success Factors for "Replacing Humans with Machines"?》. Dr. Zhang pointed out that the transformation from traditional manufacturing to smart manufacturing still faces many challenges. How to ensure the success of automation construction is a critical issue for enterprises. Dr. Zhang stated that the first key factor for the success of automation construction is to reduce equipment losses and improve OEE; the second key factor is to strengthen scientific management of equipment maintenance; the third key factor is to monitor equipment energy consumption and power usage, curb energy waste, and achieve the goal of reducing consumption and improving efficiency.

As one of the core members of the Dalian Smart Manufacturing Industry Association, ALSI has always insisted on technological innovation and R&D in the smart manufacturing field, committed to promoting the intelligent and green digital development of the manufacturing industry. In the future, ALSI will maintain close cooperation with the association and other enterprises, jointly promoting the transformation and upgrading of Dalian's manufacturing industry through smart manufacturing, and making positive contributions to the national goal of building strong smart manufacturing enterprises, cities, provinces, and a strong country.
