To ensure stable operation and fast computation, the Supply Chain Planning and Scheduling System must be paired with appropriate software, hardware, and network environments. For small and medium-sized factories, a standard rack-mounted server is sufficient, with at least 4 CPU cores and 16GB of RAM to ensure smooth algorithm calculations during scheduling. If multiple factories are involved in production, or if the production process is complex with a large number of orders, the server needs to be upgraded: choose a CPU with 8 or more cores, 32GB or more of RAM, plus high-speed SSDs to reduce latency when storing production data and retrieving order information. The network must ensure stability, with an internal network bandwidth of at least 100Mbps. If multiple factories are collaborating from different locations or if cloud deployment is used, 5G or fiber optic connections should be used to ensure timely data synchronization and avoid information lag during scheduling. In addition, the Supply Chain Planning and Scheduling System must be able to interoperate with existing factory systems such as ERP and MES without requiring additional modifications to the current IT infrastructure. It must also comply with industrial-grade security standards to prevent production data leaks or loss.
