Recently, Alps Smart Manufacturing (hereinafter referred to as "Alps") formally reached a cooperation with Xiamen Minhe Electrical Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xiamen Minhe"). Relying on Alps' lean digital equipment status monitoring OEE system, a comprehensive lean management solution was created for Xiamen Minhe.
This solution will go deep into Xiamen Minhe's production front line, achieving real-time and precise monitoring of equipment status on the production floor, seamlessly connecting with the MES system, making equipment utilization一目了然 (at a glance). In addition, it helps Xiamen Minhe immediately detect abnormal situations in the assembly workshop and notify the relevant responsible persons at the first time, providing strong data support for continuous improvement of lean production at Xiamen Minhe, enabling precise and efficient management decisions, resolving delivery issues, and driving a dual leap in production efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Since its establishment in 2002, Xiamen Minhe has深耕 (deeply cultivated) the field of electronic components and assemblies manufacturing, while expanding into diversified businesses such as capacitor and supporting equipment manufacturing. It is a comprehensive manufacturing enterprise integrating injection molding, assembly, and hardware production capabilities, and is a global deep cooperation partner of Fortune 500 companies.

The top management of Xiamen Minhe closely followed the rapid changes in the market environment and actively embarked on the digital transformation journey, deploying the MES system to assist production management. During the in-depth implementation and detailed control process, they discovered issues such as the inability to collect and control key data, opacity of bottleneck processes, and efficiency lag. Accordingly, Xiamen Minhe joined hands with Alps to jointly promote the introduction and implementation of a "small, fast, light, and precise" lean digital production system, aiming to comprehensively deepen the digital transformation and lean management of the production process.

Alps Smart Manufacturing and Xiamen Minhe Join Forces
To Build a New Height of Lean Management and Accelerate Efficiency Upgrades
Challenges Faced by Xiamen Minhe
1. Disconnect Between MES System Production Data and Reality
The current MES system relies on manual entry of work order completion after the fact, causing key information such as work order execution status, equipment operation status, and production output to not be synchronized to the system in real time. This makes it difficult to precisely control the production floor. At the same time, senior management is also in the dark, unable to monitor production progress at any time, affecting decision-making efficiency and production flexibility.
2. Lack of Transparency in Automated Equipment Effective Utilization
Xiamen Minhe's product manufacturing process covers multiple stages such as stamping, injection molding, and bending. Due to the lack of first-hand equipment production data, key indicators such as actual equipment utilization rate, downtime reasons, and time losses are difficult to capture. To carry out production improvement, it is even more difficult to know where to start.
3. Prominent Production Bottleneck in the Assembly Workshop
As a core process in Xiamen Minhe's production chain, the efficient operation of the assembly workshop is directly related to the release and improvement of overall production capacity. However, the current assembly workshop is inefficient and lags behind other production links, becoming a key bottleneck restricting overall production progress. Management urgently needs to locate and improve the key factors affecting production efficiency.
Alps Lean Solution
1. Strengthen the Connection Between MES System and Workshop Data: By deploying TS30 equipment status collectors, equipment status is collected in real time, successfully building a seamless connection bridge between equipment and the MES system, and between the production floor and the digital ecosystem. Core data such as equipment operation status and output are accurately and timely synchronized, like installing a "perspective mirror" for the workshop, making every detail of the production floor clearly visible.
2. Transparentize Automated Equipment Efficiency and Unearth Production Potential: Alps uses the lean digital Equipment OEE System (Overall Equipment Effectiveness OEE System) to achieve comprehensive capture and visual analysis of key indicators such as equipment operation efficiency, downtime reasons, and time losses, and provides intuitive efficiency evaluation reports. Based on this data, enterprises can accurately locate equipment efficiency bottlenecks, formulate targeted optimization strategies, thereby fully tapping production potential, shortening product delivery cycles, and reducing operating costs.
3. Andon System Optimizes Assembly Workshop Production Process: For the labor-intensive assembly workshop, Alps introduced the Andon system and accompanying call wristbands for the customer. The Andon system acts like an "intelligent sentry" in the workshop. When preset abnormal events such as material shortages or quality issues occur on the production line, the operator only needs to press the call button (Agile Button) to send an Andon signal, and quickly notify relevant personnel via the wristband to handle the situation. This instant response mechanism not only greatly reduces downtime waiting time, but also helps enterprises discover high-frequency, long-duration abnormal downtime issues through big data analysis, facilitating lean improvement and improving the continuity and stability of the production line.

By introducing the lean digital solution from Alps Smart Manufacturing, it is expected that Xiamen Minhe will achieve real-time monitoring of equipment status, seamless connection with the MES system, increase equipment utilization rate by 8% to 15%, and improve the production efficiency of the assembly line and on-time delivery rate.
In the subsequent cooperation, Alps will continue to provide professional technical support and optimization services to ensure that Xiamen Minhe can continuously improve the lean management solution, achieve a more efficient production process, and more stable operation management. We firmly believe that through close cooperation between the two parties, Xiamen Minhe will further enhance its market competitiveness and create an even more brilliant future.
