Recently, the "8th International Intelligent Manufacturing (Wuhan) Forum," hosted by e-works Digital Enterprise Network, was successfully concluded in Wuhan on November 17-18, 2022. With the theme "Digital Transformation, Upgrade, and Transcendence," the forum provided cutting-edge and practical interactive exchanges, guiding manufacturing enterprises in the right direction for the transformation of Smart Factories. As one of the leading enterprises in the field of digital intelligent manufacturing, Dr. Zhang Xiaohui, Director of ALSI (Dalian) Co., Ltd. (referred to as "ALSI"), delivered a speech at the summit. Based on data and centered on lean principles, this speech focused on the field of intelligent manufacturing and shared ALSI's independently developed full lifecycle equipment solution covering equipment monitoring, smart maintenance, energy consumption monitoring, and power usage. This solution forms a multi-scenario, full-chain, and multi-level application demonstration, fully supporting the transformation of Smart Factories. Rooted in enterprise practices, ALSI took this forum as an opportunity to fully demonstrate its strong capabilities and unique charm in practicing digital lean and pragmatically promoting the real implementation of Smart Factories.

Smart Factory

ALSI originated from a Japanese manufacturing company—Alps Alpine Group—inheriting the lean spirit of Japanese enterprises and helping companies clarify the development context of Smart Factories, strongly driving the upgrade process of Smart Factories. Dr. Zhang Xiaohui emphasized three key points of automation construction at the forum: improving overall equipment OEE, strengthening equipment maintenance management, and eliminating equipment energy waste. Based on data collection and precise time management as the axis, and fully understanding the actual needs of enterprises and sorting out their business processes, ALSI provides a one-stop integrated delivery of "software + hardware + services" starting from solving specific business problems faced by customers. Through data integration and interconnection, it builds various intelligent applications including "real-time equipment status monitoring," "predictive maintenance," "real-time production decision-making," and "safety production control," achieving horizontal and vertical end-to-end information exchange. By letting data speak, ALSI transforms "experience-driven" into "data-driven," establishing a data-driven operational model that drives intelligent decision-making while addressing business pain points and needs. With "digital leadership" and "lean management models," ALSI truly helps enterprises move toward Smart Factories.

Smart Factory

The end of the forum does not mean the curtain falls on "digital lean"; instead, it marks the beginning of continuous improvement with the end as the starting point. Just as the Smart Factory solution shared by ALSI brings continuous improvement with "craftsmanship and the spirit of excellence" and receives positive market feedback, this is also the positive result of ALSI's long-term focus on deeply engaging in application scenarios, going to the front line of manufacturing sites, and grasping market trends. In the future, ALSI will continue to focus on its own field, deeply understand the pain points of Smart Factory transformation, observe the development trends of digitalization with a lean perspective, continuously improve the concepts of automation and lean in production processes, and pursue the ultimate "craftsman spirit" in products, pragmatically promoting the real implementation of Smart Factories.
