Overproduction is considered waste in Lean Manufacturing. In a Lean Manufacturing workshop, overproduction does not accelerate the pace of Lean development; instead, it leads to inventory buildup, severely delays the progress of Lean Manufacturing, and may even directly cause the failure of Lean implementation. Therefore, enterprises must eliminate all overproduction.
